Gimme Five! Boykiller

Somebody alert the authorities! Ginger Wagg, Catherine Steele, and Theresa Stone have joined forces to attack stages and eardrums as Boykiller. They’re a brand new band on a mission to murder songs as well as they already slay the opposite sex.

But can these ladies handle five furious questions? See for yourself after the jump.

1. If you band were a cartoon, which would it be?
We are like that one episode of Pinky and the Brain when the Rescue Rangers and the Muppet Babies cameo and they all team up to take over the world by forming the ultimate super group with Jem, the Holograms, and Eloise.

2. When did you decide to start this new project?
Well, Theresa got struck by lightning late one night in the Spring of 2011. Ginger happened to be there and immediately stuck her finger in a light socket to be just like Theresa. When Catherine heard what happened, she dropped her hair dryer while taking a bath and we all had an immediate mind-meld. Boykiller was born.

3. Describe your typical high school dance experience.
Catherine was standing by the bleachers, giggling with the girls, wondering when Eddie was ever going to ask her to dance. Theresa walked through, screamed HIGH SCHOOL SUCKS, and went to party at some old guy’s house instead. Ginger showed up with a leotard on, a giant piece of cardboard, and spiked the punch.

4. Who/what might be a few inspirations or influences that would really surprise people?
Worms and Gregorian Chants. Also, worms who sing Gregorian chants.

5. What did you dream of being when you were a kid? (how ’d that turn out?)
We dreamed of being cool and grown up, honesty and insight, sweetness and laughter, adventure and fun times, comfort and warmth, and all around awesomeness.

Basically, a Boykiller life.
