OWASA confirms it was a good rain

I think we pretty much knew it was, but here’s the stats from OWASA this am.

University Lake, the Cane Creek Reservoir, and the Quarry Reservoir currently contain 1.587 billion gallons of water, which is 44.6% of their capacity

Estimated Days of Water Supply remaining: 235 days (about 7 months), based on average demand in the last 30 days, and assuming no further rainfall

Cane Creek Reservoir Water Level: 13 feet, 8 inches below full as of this morning, which is up 5.5 inches from yesterday

University Lake Water Level: 6 feet, 4 inches below full as of this morning, which is up 12.5 inches from yesterday

The Quarry Reservoir Level: 5 feet, 0 inches below full as of this morning, which is no change from yesterday

Customer Demand: Yesterday (December 30, 2007): 6.141 million gallons
Past 7 days (average): 6.065 million gallons
Past 30 days (average): 6.742 million gallons
December Conservation Objective: 6.400 million gallons
Rainfall in the 24 hours ending this morning at about 7 am was:
1.96 inches at the Jones Ferry Road Water Treatment Plant, which is about 1.5 miles from University Lake.
1.45 inches at the Cane Creek Reservoir Dam.
Rainfall to date during December: 4.95 inches at the Jones Ferry Road Water Treatment Plant; 3.28 inches the Cane Creek Reservoir dam
Normal rainfall for December: (30 year average) 3.14 inches at our Jones Ferry Road Water Treatment Plant
