Pithy expressions about the heat

Someone just wandered back in from lunch and noted “It’s set to ‘Hell’ out there,” reminding me that The Carrboro Citizen newspaper is collecting pithy and colorful expressions about the heat and how hot it is.
Send ‘em in, but keep ‘em clean, though. Family newspaper and all that.
