Orange County has installed 12 electric car-charging stations for use by the general public.
The stations were funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through the Carolina Blue Skies and Green Jobs Initiative led by the Triangle J Council of Governments.
All of the stations are “Level 2†type stations, capable of fully energizing an electric car in about three to six hours. Stations are located at the Orange County Skills Development Center at 503 W. Franklin St. (four), the Seymour Senior Center at 2551 Homestead Road (two) and the park-and-ride lot adjacent to the Orange County Durham Tech campus (six).
Usage of the stations will be free during an introductory period.
Thanks for adding the EV Charging Stations.
