The Carrboro Board of Adjustment will hold a hearing on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Carrboro Town Hall to decide on a Family Dollar store proposed for Alabama Avenue.
Some residents oppose the development because they say it will bring increased traffic, noise pollution and unsafe conditions to their neighborhood. A number of protesters marched on May 3 to show their opposition.
The proposal includes an 8,000-square-foot store accompanied by 26 parking spaces.
