McDougle Middle School students David Getka, Jeremiah Marsh and Jonathan Sepulveda weave bracelets for the “McDougle Mills†event last week. For the event, which was conducted as part of an interdisciplinary project on child labor, 700 students worked to make friendship bracelets, paper beads and origami to be sold to raise money for Mayan Families, an organization that helps feed and clothe those in need in Guatemala and enables children to escape the need to work.
