The Carrboro Farmers’ Market celebrates the chefs who regularly shop at the market with its ninth annual chefs event on Saturday.
A group of chefs will give market goers a free taste of what they can do with local ingredients, while celebrating the country’s diverse culinary heritage, playing on this year’s “All-American†theme.
Participating chefs are Kevin Callaghan of Acme, Jeff Barney of the Saxapahaw General Store and The Eddy, Matt and Sheila Neal of Neal’s Deli, Seth Kingsbury of Pazzo, Amy Tornquist of Watt’s Grocery and Adam Rose of Il Palio.
The chefs will present their skills in the market gazebo and offer free samples. The sampling will begin at 9 a.m.
