The driver of an Orange County ambulance has been charged with failure to maintain lane control in relation to an accident Saturday in which four people were injured. The ambulance was involved in a crash on N.C. 86, just north of A.L. Stanback Middle School.
Orange Emergency Services Operations Manager Kim Woodward said three of the people injured work for Orange EMS. One was the driver of the ambulance and the other two were EMTs. The fourth person injured was a patient being transported to a local hospital.
Woodward said it was a “non-emergency” patient transportation and that none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
