It’s 10 by 10 season. The ninth 10 by 10 Festival in the Triangle will be performed at The ArtsCenter from July 8 (today) through July 25.
The festival features 10 new plays, each 10 minutes long, for $10. More than 550 scripts were submitted for the festival from all over the world, including, Israel, Russia and Spain.
This year’s festival includes five world premieres, including Somewhere Out There by Carrboro resident David Rabinowitz, who is also a member of the Playwrights Roundtable, The ArtsCenter’s resident playwrights’ lab.
Other titles on the bill are Good God Enters Flossing by J. Stephen Brantley, The Miles High Club by Doug Brook, Don’t Eat the Yellow Picasso by James C. Ferguson, Fighting Mr. Right by Barbara Lindsay, Stuck by Christopher Lockheardt, 30 Love by Terry McFadden, The Size of Furniture by Benjamin Adair Murphy, Closet Case by Judd Lear Silverman and The Banana Trial by Eddie Zipperer.
A playwrights’ gala and reception will also be held this Saturday. On July 17, there will be a playwrights’ discussion and reception after the show.
