What a surprise this past weekend to discover that the vast white penstemon fields of Mason Farm Biological Reserve came in second place to the mountain-like qualities of the Adams Tract section of Bolin Creek.

Demario Atwater pleaded guilty on Monday in state court to first-degree murder in connection with the death of former UNC Student Body President Eve Carson.
Homestead Road development approved
After a lengthy discussion on the impact to nearby neighborhoods, the Chapel Hill Town Council voted 7-2 at its meeting Monday night at Town Hall to approve a development for the corner of Homestead Road and Weaver Dairy Road Extension.

A matter of life and death
For years, North Carolina’s AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) had the most restrictive eligibility level in the nation. This critical program is designed to make sure that low-income people living with HIV get the medicine they need to stay healthy and significantly reduce the risk of transmission.
