Philip Juras, artist and landscape architect, gives us a vision of what the open, old-growth grassy woodlands of the southeastern Piedmont were like when European explorers first arrived in the annual Sims Lecture at the N.C. Botanical Garden Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.
