Animal services holiday events

During November and December, the Orange County Animal Services Department features tours, activities and special outreach events designed to raise awareness of adoption and lost-pet recovery during the holiday season.

Orange County Animal Services also will participate in the Hillsborough Parade on Saturday, Dec. 5, and the Chapel Hill Carrboro Parade on Saturday, Dec. 12. Other events include horse and carriage rides at Eastgate Mall on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to midnight and pictures with Santa at the Durham/Chapel Hill PetSmart on Tuesday, Dec. 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
