Orange County’s Animal Services Department is offering $5 rabies vaccination clinics in October and November to ensure that cats and dogs are current on their vaccinations.

The low-cost rabies vaccination clinics are Friday, Oct. 30, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Orange County Animal Services Center, 1601 Eubanks Road, Chapel Hill, for one-year vaccinations only, and Saturday, Nov. 7, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Government Services Center Annex, 208 S. Cameron St., Hillsborough, for both one-year and three-year vaccinations.

Fees must be paid in cash. If you’re seeking a three-year vaccination, be sure to bring your pet’s most recent vaccination certificate. Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers. Animals that may be nervous or unsettled should be kept in a vehicle for vaccination. Call 942- 7387 for more information about the clinic.
