Land & Table brief: Corks for kids

Sep 25, 2008 Land and Table Jump to Comments

The annual Corks for Kids event held in early September by the Chapel Hill Wine Company raised more than $80,000 for the N.C. Children’s Hospital. The money was raised through ticket sales for the event held at the Wine Center, a 5 percent day at A Southern Season, sponsors, donations and auction items donated by local businesses.

The event itself was a two-day dinner and wine tasting, all proceeds from which go to the Children’s Hospital. The event featured more than 80 wines from Australian and New Zealand wineries.
