News brief: Bus routes added

Sep 4, 2008 News Jump to Comments

The Triangle Transit Authority board of trustees last week voted to add service to express bus services between Chapel Hill and Raleigh and between Durham and Raleigh.

Express bus ridership from April to June this year increased and bus operators and customers reported standing-room-only conditions. The board’s action added one trip in each direction in the morning and afternoon peak periods to each of the express routes. Staff are also making minor schedule revisions to improve the on-time performance on two afternoon trips on route 500, between Chapel Hill and Raleigh.

The changes will took effect on Tuesday. The new schedules are available online at triangletransit.org/bus/maps-and-schedules/.
