News Brief: Volunteers needed to assist homeless

olunteers are needed at Project Homeless Connect Orange County, a one-day, one-stop center to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25 to provide people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, homelessness with services including housing, employment, health, dental and mental health care, social service benefits, disability and veterans’ benefits, legal services, personal care and lunch. The event will be held at the Hargraves Community Center, 216 N. Roberson St. in Chapel Hill.

Volunteers are needed in a variety of positions. If you are interested in participating or would like to learn more about the event, please contact Meredith Costa at 923-2559 or mcosta@hiddenvoices.org.
