Fear not, the Carrboro Board of Aldermen will come to the rescue, raise our taxes and perform other heroic deeds as needed. The library will be "saved" just in time for the next election cycle.

Much easier for them than dealing with the huge deficit facing the town and the county.

The liberal, feel good bohemians running the town will fix this problem on the backs of the working people of Carrboro, until of course they can no longer afford to live here.

LOL!!!

Why don't you expect there to be more than one "wonderful" library in a county the size and stature of Orange? I cannot believe in a place that prides itself on the number of PhD's and politically progressive individuals it has, there is actually a debate as to whether or not a free-standing library is needed in a town the size of Carrboro.

"The Orange County Public Library in Hillsborough received less than a 1 percent reduction in its hours of operation (down to 60 from 64) "

Uhh, less than one percent?? Check your math.

And why don't you just go to Chapel Hill's wonderful library instead??
