Several students from Chapel Hill and Carrboro placed at the State High School Mathematics Competition last week at the School of Science and Math.

Those who placed were: Jeremy Hahn, Michaux Academy senior, third place; Andres Hertzberg, Chapel Hill High School junior, ninth place; Fei Fei Wang, Chapel Hill High School senior, 12th place; Zijing Gao, Smith Middle School seventh grader, 24th place; and Haoru Liu, East Chapel Hill High School sophomore, 28th place.
