The South Estes Farmers’ Market will hold its grand opening on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of University Mall.

The event will feature music by the Starlite String Band, cooking demonstrations, raffles every hour and more. The Farmers of Orange, one of the groups that petitioned the county to run the farmers’ market at the county’s new Public Market House in Hillsborough, launched the South Estes Farmers’ Market earlier this month.
