School Brief: Kenan fellow

Apr 24, 2008 Schools Jump to Comments

Chapel Hill High School science teacher Rebecca Hite-Mercadoocasio has been named a 2008 Kenan Fellow by NC State University.

For the two-year fellowship, Hite-Mercadoocasio will participate in a six-week summer institute for two consecutive summers, as well as “fireside chats” throughout the school year.

Kenan Fellows receive credit toward a graduate degree while working in the program, and create a curriculum project to be used across the state or nation.
