School Brief: ToH silent auction

Feb 21, 2008 Schools Jump to Comments

J.P.’s Caps for Courage and the Johanna Minta Yearbook Fund will sponsor a silent auction at Top of the Hill on Tuesday, from 5 to 9:30 p.m.

In addition, Top of the Hill will donate $1 for each of the daily special beers sold that day.

All money raised will support fundraising efforts in honor of John Paul Minta and his sister, Johanna Minta. John Paul was a rising freshman when he lost his battle with cancer, and Johanna, a former yearbook staff member, was killed in a car accident.

J.P.’s Caps for Courage supports adolescent patients at UNC’s Cancer Hospital. The Johanna Minta Yearbook Fund helps purchase yearbooks for deserving students.
