Dell Hilliard, 42, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at UNC-Hospitals.
Dell was a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him and everyone who knew him was very lucky.

He is survived by his wife, Cherry, of the home; his mother, Helen; stepfather, Sol Ellis of Durham; his father, Jr. Hilliard; and wife, Cindy of Cape Carteret. Also surviving are brothers, Chris and Mike Hilliard of Cape Carteret; Rick Ellis of Texas, sisters, Denise Wood and Christine Henricks Texans, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his sister, Geri Garcia of Texas.

There will be a memorial service held at Walker’s Funeral Home in Chapel Hill on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.
