Why do you want to be elected to the school board?
I think our district is initiating real change via some key initiatives.

I’d like to continue to serve in order to see these implemented systemically. Professional Learning Communities provide a fundamentally different way for teachers to collaborate for learning (vs. teaching) and to assess student progress and intervene when learning did not occur or when a child already knows that lesson. I am excited about our new partnership with the FPG Child Development Institute and the new academies at each high school. I want to see the reworked Special Needs Advisory Committee soar to improve special education in our district.
