Coleman mediation statement

Oct 25, 2007 News Jump to Comments

Following is a statement issued by Dan Coleman after an agreement reach today between he and Amanda Kotecki regarding the incident at Hank Anderson Park:

I apologize to Ms. Kotecki for hitting her with my car. I acknowledge the importance of the volunteer work she was doing in the park that day. And I recognize that when she put her hands on my car it was out of concern for the safety of the runners.
I thank Ms. Kotecki for her willingness to talk this through and I thank the Dispute Settlement Center and the courts for making mediation available.

Did Attorney General Gonzales have anything to do with this deal?

Just another example of those in power taking care of one of their own. Too bad we never get the chance to hear from the people who actually witnessed the event.

At any rate, I still encourage folks to listen to Mr. Coleman’s actual 911 call if they want to get a take on what really went on. It’s pretty shameful.

I wouldn’t say that happened in this case. Mediation is the standard practice in cases like this in Orange County.
