Ian David Creath of Chapel Hill died July 9, 2007. He was 18.

He was a native of Guilford County and a graduate of Cedar Ridge High School. He was a rising sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill and attended Living Hope Community Church.

A memorial service was conducted Friday, July 13, at Chapel Hill Bible Church in Chapel Hill by Dane Skelton and David Ward.

Survivors include his mother, Shawn N. Bailey; his father, David S. Creath; a brother, Lance Osborne Creath; his step-father, Robert Bailey; a step-brother, Aaron Bailey; two step-sisters, Kristen and Rachel Bailey; and his step-grandmother, Virginia Bailey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UNC Children’s Hospital, 101 Manning Drive, Chapel Hill, N.C.
