Linda Hazel Rickman Comer, age 66, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, in Chapel Hill, NC, from complications related to Alzheimer’s Disease.  Linda was born August 14, 1940, in Durham, NC.  Her parents were Aylor Louis Rickman and Hazel Dowdee Rickman.  She was a graduate of Durham High School and Watts School of Nursing.  She was retired from UNC Hospitals.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Donald Ray Comer, of Chatham County, NC, and her daughter, Laura Susan Comer, of Raleigh, NC.

She was predeceased by her son, Paul Dean Comer, her parents, and her brother, Aylor Louis Rickman, Jr.

She was much loved and will be greatly missed.

A private memorial service is planned for the immediate family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda’s memory to the Eastern NC Alzheimer’s Chapter, 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 220, Raleigh, NC 27605.
