The Chapel Hill Police Department is investigating a string of residential burglaries in the West Cameron Avenue area. Incidents include:

• Someone entered the residence at 210 Ransom St. through the front door on April 20 at 6:32 a.m., but left without taking anything when the resident called out.
• Between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on April 20, someone entered the residence at 212 Vance St. through a basement door and stole a Sony Playstation, camera, alcoholic beverages and a small suitcase.

• At approximately 12:30 a.m. on April 24, someone entered the residence at 307 W. Cameron Ave. and attempted to steal a Sony Playstation, a VCR and some wine. The suspect was described as a black male, 28-32 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a stocky build, dark complexion and a military-style haircut.
• Someone stole a small amount of money and jewelry from the residence at 209 Vance Street on April 24 between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m.
• Someone attempted to enter the residence at 426 W. Cameron Ave. on April 26 at approximately 11:30 p.m., but nothing was taken.
• Between 11:15 p.m. and 2:12 a.m. on April 27, someone entered the residence at 116 Cameron Court by throwing a rock through a back window and stole jewelry and a DVD player.

Anyone with information related to these crimes should contact Chapel Hill-Carrboro Crime Stoppers anonymously at 942-7515. A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved in these crimes.
