Land & Table Brief: Conservation photos

Posted by The Editor on December 3rd, 2007 filed in Nature

The Orange County Historic Preservation Commission and the Historical Foundation of Hillsborough and Orange County are sponsoring a photography competition.

The theme this year is “Heritage Corridors” and includes photographs of old roadbeds, scenic byways and street landscape scenes throughout Orange County.

Photographers of any age and skill level are invited to participate, and awards will be given in each division.

The Orange County Historical Museum will accept entries beginning in mid-April 2008, but entrants are encouraged to begin taking pictures now. Film or digital cameras are allowed. Winners will be announced on April 25, at the Hillsborough Last Friday Event, and then all photographs will be on display during May at the Orange County Historical Museum in Hillsborough as part of the 2008 Preservation Month celebration.
